Tour summary

Day 1 KENYA

We transfer up to Nakuru to Kembu Camp.

Day 2

We spend a day at Lake Nakuru, viewing game in a park famous for its soda lake surrounded by over a million pink flamingoes, rhinos and tree-climbing lions.

Day 3

Lake Naivasha: here hippos come to graze in the evenings. The more energetic can spend the morning cycling through lion-free Hell's Gate National Park or bird watching on the lakeshore. We spend the afternoon visiting Elsemere, the home of Born Free.

Day 4

In the morning you can visit Crescent Island the film location of 'Out of Africa' where you can wander with a guide amongst African wildlife in predator-free surroundings.

Day 5

You have the chance to go bird watching on the lake shores, or to climb Mount Longonot, an extinct volcano. Or you can take a boat out on the Green Crater Lake.

Day 6

We climb the Mau escarpment and pass through the Masai capital of Narok.. The evening is spent in a tented camp on the edge of the Masai Mara reserve.

Day 7

Game driving in Masai Mara.

Day 8 & 9

We return to Nairobi and spend the evening feasting in the famous Carnivores Restaurant. Visit the Giraffe Sanctuary and Karen Blixen's house.

Day 10: Tanzania

We cross the border to Tanzania to Arusha, at the foot of Mount Meru.

Days 11, 12:

We have the option to take Land Rovers to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. If not, just hang around camp, go into town or visit Arusha National Park.

Day 13:

Return to Arusha from the parks

Day 14:

Return to Nairobi, Kenya.
