East and Southern Africa trips: If you’re travelling between Nairobi and Cape Town and have one of the following passports – Australia, UK, Canada, most EU & USA, the entry is either;
a] Visa-free
b] Visa on the border.
c] Visa online – before departure.

Gorilla trips
We normally see the gorillas in Uganda. However if we see the gorillas in Rwanda, you’ll need a Rwanda visa, in which case we will advise you.

Kenya Apply online before traveling
All visitors to Kenya must have an approved Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before the start of their journey. It’s valid for 3 months on issue. Normally issued within 3 working days.

Rwanda Australia, NZ, UK, Canada, EU & USA need one. An application for this visa is made online at the start of the tour if we are seeing the gorillas in Rwanda.

It can also be obtained on the border of Tanzania for US$50 or $100 for USA.

Malawi Most nationalities free entry
Zambia The cost of the visa is $50. Australia, NZ, UK, Canada, EU & USA need one. This visa can be purchased on the border, or online https://www.zambiaimmigration.gov.zm/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=89&Itemid=114
Zimbabwe Australia, NZ, UK, Canada, most EU & USA need one. Obtained on entry for US$30, or online https://www.evisa.gov.zw/#/Home
Botswana Australia, NZ, UK, Canada, most EU & USA do not need one.
Namibia Australia, NZ, UK, Canada, most EU & USA do not need one.
South Africa Australia, NZ, UK, Canada, most EU & USA do not need one. South Africa might ask for proof of onward journey, that is a flight ticket if you arrive by land, or tour ticket if arriving by air.
Lesotho UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and most EU countries don’t need a visa.
Mozambique UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, South Africa – visa free, paying $10 on arrival.
Australia and New Zealand need a visa – on line for $150, or on entry for $80.
Other nationalities need to check visa regulations.
